I want my... WTF? The so-called "MTV" Classic.

Since I was a kid, cable channels weren't what they supposed to be.  Formerly artsy/cultured networks like Bravo and A&E now air mostly reality shows, along with E! and TLC.  Now the network that opened the Pandora's box of reality programming has a channel that is meant to reminisce the "good old days". On August 1st, 2016, MTV Classic made its debut replacing VH1 Classic.  There are a few things wrong with it, though: -The good videos (mixed with some crappy ones) are shown only in the morning hours, kind of like MTV and VH1 in the late 90's. -Thanks for airing old episodes of Æon Fluxand, the Maxx, and Daria, but the episodes of Beavis and Butthead were from the recent season, not from the 90's.  MTV Classic should also air Liquid Television, Cartoon Sushi, Celebrity Deathmatch, and The Head. -No movies except for "Beavis and Butthead Do America". UPDATE 3/22/17: Since the beginning of 2017, MTV Classic had dumped the old reality show

Some forgotten 90's alt-rock songs.

Pluto - "When She Was Happy" (1996) This band from Vancouver was nominated for a Juno Award for "Best New Band". BTK - "Peppyrock" (1996) Another Juno nominee, this Toronto act (a.k.a. Birth Through Knowledge) has a fun hip-hop/rock beat and a music video that parodies Sesame Street and the Electric Company. Pfil bryte - "Merry Go Round" (1996) What I found out about him is that he's based in San Francisco, is the grandson of Woody Woodpecker creator Walter Lantz, and has a music production company (http://www.pfilbryte.com/home/).  This song has a relaxed hip-hop feel and (like a few of his other songs) mentions Disneyland.  He also did a great cover of Blood Sweat & Tears' "Spinning Wheel". Reacharound - "Big Chair" (1996) There isn't anything I could find about this band, but they do hail from Southern California and were label mates with No Doubt and Bush. Update 6/2/20: I found some more infor
